  1. THE hawk for a woodsman 5 Star Review

Posted by on 27th May 2016

Every facet of this hawk is ideal for the woods. The belly on the blade is ideal for skinning the point of the beard will split open a fish. It will handle camp chores with less energy then any large bladed knife and the softness of the edge is quick to sharpen. The handle fit and finish is top quality (though hot spots will develop quickly on an un-gloved hand). The design is such that its easy to choke up and accomplish fine work and the chisel end is fantastic with wood working. The fit of the kydex sheath is great, mine has a little bit of a rattle to it (not great for stealth applications) but the retension is outstanding. It took a long time to get but it is now a constant companion that I know will withstand abuse and time and someday be proudly passed to my son.

  3. Berserker Axe 5 Star Review

Beautiful craftsmanship. Everything about the axe, from the balance, the materials, and the craftsmanship shows that this was made by people who care about only putting out the best. It really couldn't get any better.

  4. Balance 5 Star Review

Posted by on 15th Jun 2014

I got my berserker through edcknives and it is excellent. I also have a kestrel feather and expected the weight difference to be substantial. Although the hawk is balanced so well that you really don't notice the weight as much as I was expecting. I've got a Benchmade 172 and the weight is similar between the two, the quality is not. The balance and comfort in hand are worlds apart and I'm not saying the Benchmade is bad, the berserker is just exceptional.
