Hakim Isler Design Philosophy
After years of learning from the wilderness, nature taught me a lot. In any wilderness and survival situation several basics are a constant: shelter, water, food, conservation and security. To accomplish these tasks effectively requires certain tools. Tools can be made in the field, but this takes time and effort. Carrying multiple tools can be cumbersome and energy sapping. This started me on my personal quest for a tool that is easy to carry and gives multiple options. Being able to complete those basic tasks is essential to life/survival. Options to complete those tasks are priceless. . Through trial and error I found a series of actions that kept presenting themselves to me in my outdoor adventures.
Of course you can make tools for all of these tasks, carry tools for all of them or use a tool that is made for some of these (and make it work for others). Instead I decided to make something that could provide all of this for me and much more.
That is why I created the Tengu Ono (forest spirit axe). This Axe has so many benefits for the avid outdoors man/woman. I personally used it to survive 21 day primitively in the Himalayan mountains of India and 7 days of primitive survival in the Jungles of Colombia. Another Extreme adventure used it to survive primitively in the Jungles of Colombia for 30 days. This tool is the epitome of multifunction and durability.

I know this design is not for everyone but I love it. It's fairly heavy and chops very well. But because of all the different grips you literally don't need a knife to accompany this. If you are looking for an all in one tool this piece is solid, well built and has endless uses.
