The 13" Kestrel Tomahawk is a beast of a tool, a compact rendition to the the venerable 18" Eagle Talon. This multi-roll tomahawk was designed to get through obstacles, breach and extract from a building or vehicle, a tool to help you win the day. We consider weight to be an asset with the Kestrel, at 1 pound 9 ounces and 13" long, it packs a punch, and can be wielded in tight spaces when called for. It offers full tang construction made from 3/8" 80CRV2 carbon steel that has a Tungsten Cerekote finish for corrosion restance and wear. This is a heavy use tool, the full tang construction absorbs the punishment while the hardened striking surface on the head delivers it back without chipping or shattering. The permanently attached G10 handle scales offer a contoured 3D texture that works great both wet and dry without being overly aggressive. The 3 inch forward edge is razor sharp and that is combined with a 3" distal tapered spike that can be used for digging, shattering tempered glass, penetrating sheet metal, it can be used to hack through concrete and wood, to breaking chains and hardened padlocks. One tool, many tasks is the idea behind our tomahawks, We want you to never leave home without being prepared for any emergency. It is also an important piece of kit for first responder's that require a tool for breach and extraction work. The 13" length won't impede movement yet can make quick work of anything that it comes in contact with!
