Sapper Tiger Stripe

The Sapper was designed by RMJ crew member, Chris Linton.  Chris is not only a hard charger for us but damn good knife maker in his own right.  The inspiration behind the Sapper was gathered from blade culture and historical designs like the American Bowie, the Nepalese Kukri, and a little touch of the Filipino Barong mixed in.  All those features are as functional as they are visually appealing.  The idea was to create a multi-role combat-survival knife that could serve in a multitude of settings, such as ranching, farming, camping, overlanding, as well as survival and or combat roles.   If you are an adventurer that loves a big multipurpose blade, the Sapper is for you.  

The Sapper is a full tang design with an overall length of 16.5" that features a 10.75" recurve blade with an equally impressive 10.5" cutting edge.  The 1/4" 80CRV2 tool steel used in its construction is tough enough to handle anything you can throw at it, while still offering the ability to put a field expedient edge on it. There is a lanyard hole forward of the handles that can be used independently for extra retention, or in combination with a pass through hole in the handle by removing a fastener set.  This group of four have a Jungle Tiger Stripe Cerakote finish, please note, no two are the same.  The Sapper features handles that are 3D machined from G10 composite the sprayed with Cerakote Super Grip offering a gripping surface.  The handles are secured with Grade 5 titanium fasteners with a matte-bronze elctro-anodized finish.  

A Sapper — also known as an elite combat engineer — is a combatant skilled in a variety of military engineering duties such as minefield placement or clearing, bridge-building, demolitions, field defenses, and road and airfield construction. Sappers are responsible for tasks facilitating movement of allied forces and impeding those of their enemies.
